Marketing

We only send marketing emails, including the weekly briefing, to people who have ticked the box and confirmed by email. Every email has an unsubscribe link. You can also reply or write to jonathan@coghalo.com and we will take you off the list.

Who helps us

These services process information for us under contract: MailerLite (email list), Cal.com (bookings), Attio (contacts), Google (email and, with consent, analytics), and Vercel (website hosting). Some are based outside the UK; where information leaves the UK, we rely on the safeguards each provider offers under UK data protection law, such as the UK–US data bridge or the UK international data transfer agreement and addendum.

How long we keep it

  • Briefing subscribers: until you unsubscribe, then we keep only your email address on a "do not email" list, so you are never added again by mistake.
  • Bookings and enquiries that do not become work: 24 months.
  • Client records: 6 years after the engagement ends, for legal and tax reasons.

Analytics data

Google Analytics data, if you accepted it, is kept for 14 months. Vercel page counts are anonymous.

Your rights

You can ask for a copy of your information, ask us to correct or delete it, object to or restrict how we use it, ask for it in a portable format, and withdraw consent at any time. Email jonathan@coghalo.com; we will reply within one month.

If you are unhappy, please tell us first. You can also complain to the Information Commissioner's Office at ico.org.uk.
